FOD walk keeps aircraft safe at YARS
Master Sgt. James Johnson, 910th Maintenance Squadron Aerospace Propulsion Specialist, picks up a piece of foreign object debris (FOD) during the FOD walk on the flightline here, April 3, 2017. FOD walks are routinely held to clear the flightline of any objects alien to the area that could potentially cause damage to aircraft. Examples of FOD include broken pavement, wire bristles from snow removal equipment, trash and parts from ground vehicles. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Polly Orcutt)
