For emergency response, preparation is paramount

Jarrod Busby and Senior Airman Andrew Javornick, both firefighters with the 910th Civil Engineer Fire Department, inspect injuries on Second Lt. John Pope, a pilot trainee with the 757th Airlift Squadron, who is portraying an accident victim during a Major Accident Response Exercise (MARE), May 16, 2017. Exercise organizers use moulage, cosmetics intended to simulate injuries, to enhance the realism of the scenario. The purpose of the exercise, conducted by the Wing Inspection Team and Emergency Management office, was to document response capabilities of installation personnel while honing joint response practices with local agencies including local law enforcement and the American Red Cross.
