For Fred: Building dedication honors veteran and volunteer

Mary "Laverne" Kubli, widow of Fred Kubli Jr., observes a building dedication ceremony here, Dec. 15, 2017. Fred was a World War II veteran who served as a volunteer at YARS for more than three decades and founded the Youngstown Air Reserve Base Community Council. Building 201, which houses the USO lounge and base chapel, was renamed the Kubli Morale and Wellness Center in Fred's honor. Fred and Laverne were married for more than 70 years.
