Prop shop tackles engine swap

Aerospace propulsion technicians with the 910th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron here, work together to remove a guide cone from a bolt port on a C-130H Hercules aircraft where the engine is mounted beneath the wing, March 7, 2018. The team removed the engine from the aircraft during an isochronal inspection in order to swap it with a different engine. Maintainers clean the guide cones and ports when they swap engines to prepare them for inspection and ensure they’re in good repair. The guide cones help ensure proper alignment when mounting the engine to the aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo/Eric M. White)
