Prop shop tackles engine swap
Senior Airman William Wright and Senior Airman Daniel Phillis, both aerospace propulsion technicians with the 910th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron here, remove a guide cone from a C-130H Hercules aircraft engine mounting point, March 7, 2018. The team removed the engine from the aircraft during an isochronal inspection in order to swap it with a different engine. Maintainers clean the guide cones and ports when they swap engines to prepare them for inspection and ensure they’re in good repair. The guide cones ensure proper alignment when mounting the engine to the aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo/Eric M. White)
