Governor's advisor visits 910th
Col. (ret) Joseph Zeis (center), Aerospace and Defense Advisor for Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, examines a section of piping from one of the 910th Airlift Wing's Modular Aerial Spray Systems here, March 13, while Senior Master Sgt. Phil Aliberti, 910th Aerial Spray Maintenance Chief, explains how the piece was cast using advanced manufacturing techniques. Zeis visited YARS to meet with 910th Airlift Wing Commander Col. Joe Janik. Representatives of the 910th's community partners including the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber, the Eastern Ohio Military Affairs Commission and the Youngstown Air Reserve Base-Community Council were also in attendance. The group discussed 910th and YARS missions, priorities and future planning. The 910th is the home of the Department of Defense's only large-area, fixed-wing aerial spray capability.
