Two nations one pilot
Maj. Kazunori Takahara, a pilot with the Japan Air-Self Defense Force’s 1st Tactical Airlift Wing, poses in front of a 757th Airlift Squadron C-130H Hercules aircraft, he had piloted moments before the photo. Takahara is a participant in the Defense Personnel Exchange Program, where he will spend two and a half years assigned to the United States Air Force’s 910th Airlift Wing. The DPEP is designed to nurture the bonds of friendship and understanding that exist between the two air forces through the exchange of ideas and tactics by the members of each service.
