Mountain Home: Weed whacking
Aerial spray operators assigned to the 757th Airlift Squadron operate the 910th Airlift Wing’s aerial spray system from the back of an aerial spray modified C-130H Hercules aircraft, Sept. 23, 2020, above Mountain Home Air Force Base’s Saylor Creek Training Range, Idaho. The 910th AW, based out of Youngstown Air Reserve Station, is tasked with the Department of Defense’s only large-area fixed-wing aerial spray capability to control disease-carrying insects, pest insects and undesirable vegetation and to disperse oil spills in large bodies of water.
