Prototype system tested for unit's unique mission
Master Sgt. Theodore Clever III and Capt. Philip Savitsky, both members of the Air Mobility Command Test and Evaluation Squadron, review mission details prior to the initial test flight of a prototype modular aerial spray system, July 25, 2022, at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio. The prototype system looks to replace the 910th Airlift Wing's decades old modular aerial spray system. The 910th Airlift Wing operates the Department of Defense's only large-area, fixed-wing aerial spray capability to eliminate pest and disease-carrying insects, remove invasive and wildfire-causing vegetation and disperse oil spills in large bodies of water.
