22nd Air Force: Rally in the Valley

The morning fog burns off to reveal the Appalachian Mountains. The Gauley River glimmers with the rising sun as eight shadows drag across the West Virginia landscape accompanied by a low rumble. It was meant to be a small exercise, but necessity turned it into something more.

Rally in the Valley 2020

Five Air Force Reserve units from the 22nd Air Force and a West Virginia Air National Guard unit participated in Rally in the Valley, a multi-day C-130 training exercise under a distributed operations concept, Aug. 22-25, 2020.
