  • Industry leaders get closer look at 910th capabilities

    John Sankovic, president and CEO of the Ohio Aerospace Institute, and Howard Thompson, senior business development director at Greater Cleveland Partnership, visited the 910th Airlift Wing to learn about the unit’s capabilities. The 910th AW operates the Department of Defense’s only aerial spray capability to eliminate disease-carrying and pest insects, disperse oil spills in large bodies of water and eliminate unwanted or invasive vegetation.

    Youngstown Air Reserve Station firefighters receive training on engine shut-down procedures, emergency crew extraction and other safety concerns for the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter on the aircraft ramp here, June 26, 2019. The two-day training course was conducted by two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter pilots with the 1-230th Assault Helicopter Battalion out of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
