  • Orientation flight gives members of YARS a bird’s eye view

    Youngstown Air Reserve Station provided a C-130H Hercules orientation flight for 27 team members of the 910th Airlift Wing and one 911th Airlift Wing member, Aug. 8, 2019. Orientation flights are routinely offered to Reserve Citizen Airmen and civilians who serve at YARS to provide them with a better understanding of the wing’s flying capabilities.

Reserve Citizen Airmen from YARS loaded the humanitarian support cargo on the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst aircraft which was headed for Honduras in support of a Denton mission.
  • Airmen on the ground keep the Hercules in the air

    Aerospace propulsion technicians from the 910th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron built up a propeller assembly here, July 15, 2019. 910th Reserve Citizen Airmen in the aerospace propulsion career field are responsible for ensuring all C-130H Hercules engines are in first-rate operational conditions by testing, maintaining and repairing all parts of the engine. This knowledge and skill set is essential to the YARS flightline making these Reserve Citizen Airmen essential in providing a current, qualified, mission-ready force. 
  • 910th teams with 445th for aeromedical evacuation training

    Youngstown Air Reserve Station aircrew members flew a C-130H Hercules aircraft to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to conduct an aeromedical evacuation exercise with medical personnel from the 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. The C-130H is a versatile aircraft that can be customized for a wide variety of missions.
  • Port Dawgs ship humanitarian cargo
