The United States Air Force Reserve's 910th Aerial Spray Squadron from Youngstown Air Reserve Station (YARS), Ohio performed an aerial spray to constrol mosquito populations over Joint Base Charleston, S.C. on June 15th, 2013. The aerial spray misison is desigend to control disease-carrying insects, pest insects, undesirable vegetation and to disperse oil spills in large bodies of water. The 910th Airlift Squadron utilizes specialized equiopment, highly trained personnel and the only large area fixed-wing aerial spray capable of C-130 in the Department of Defense.
