  • YARS Reserve Citizen Airman honors Mercer County

    Senior Airman Dennis Best, a Reserve Citizen Airman assigned to the 76th Aerial Port Squadron and a sheriff’s deputy for Mercer County, had the Pennsylvania state flag flown over Afghanistan and Kuwait on a C-17 Globemaster III while serving his six-month deployment in Southwest Asia. When he returned home he presented the Pennsylvania state flag to the Mercer County Commissioners board on September 13, 2018, at the Mercer County Courthouse.

  • 910th Operations Group dives into water survival training

    Twenty Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 910th Operations Group participated in water survival training at the Hubbard Community Pool, September 9, 2018. Every 36 months aircrews are required to receive refresher training so they are able to survive during emergency situations in open water.

  • Tribute to Lt. Gen. Maryanne Miller

    Lt. Gen. Maryanne Miller, commander of Air Force Reserve Command, will become the first Airman in the history of the Air Force Reserve to pin on a fourth star while actively serving. She is the first female chief of the Air Force Reserve and commander of the Air Force Reserve Command. Miller will become the first reservist to lead Air Mobility Command, a total force mission supported by the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve. Look for a couple of clips featuring the 910th in this AFRC tribute.

  • “First Shirts” participate in team building weekend

    The 910th Airlift Wing hosted a First Sergeant Retreat and Team Building Activity for the first time August 24 through 26 at Youngstown Air Reserve Station and Camp Ravenna. First sergeants from YARS, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station and Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station participated in the team building weekend. The 911th Airlift Wing in Pittsburgh will be hosting next year’s event.

    Seventeen 910th Force Support Squadron Reserve Citizen Airmen are deployed at Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. AFMAO’s mission is to fulfill the nation’s sacred commitment of ensuring dignity, honor and respect to the fallen and care, service and support to their families.
