  • Rally in the Valley 2020

    Five Air Force Reserve units from the 22nd Air Force and a West Virginia Air National Guard unit participated in Rally in the Valley, a multi-day C-130 training exercise under a distributed operations concept, Aug. 22-25, 2020.
  • As of Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, the Lt. Col. H. James English Memorial Fitness Center resumed its normal hours of operation. Though the gym has reopened, Youngstown Air Reserve Station remains closed to all non-essential personnel at this time.

    Fitness center reopens for assigned personnel at YARS

    As of Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, the Lt. Col. H. James English Memorial Fitness Center resumed it’s normal hours of operation, to include self-service Common Access Card access during unstaffed hours; Monday through Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. with certain restrictions in place.

Takahara is a participant in the Defense Personnel Exchange Program, where he will spend two and a half years assigned to the United States Air Force’s 910th Airlift Wing. The DPEP is designed to nurture the bonds of friendship and understanding that exist between the two air forces through the exchange of ideas and tactics by the members of each service.

Corso has covered 10 shows across five venues with plans to continue his passion after the COVID-19 pandemic passes.

    While many medical professionals around the world are busy combating COVID-19, the medical professionals at Youngstown Air Reserve Station are training on defending themselves from more traditional foes.

  • Tac Week 2020

    The 910th Airlift Wing completed Tac Week, August 3-7, 2020. Tac week, traditionally held each summer, provides 757th aircrew members multiple opportunities to hone flight skills by flying formations, tactical routes, airdrops and flights with other airframes aboard the units C-130H Hercules aircraft.
  • Staff Sgt. Jeffrey Grossi, a photojournalist assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing’s Public Affairs Office and the NCOIC of Command Information at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, is a student at Penn State University working toward getting a Masters of Art in Anthropology and a Bachelors of Arts in Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies with an emphasis in Archaeology.
