Veteran resource fair held to inform 910th Airmen Published April 9, 2018 By Airman 1st Class Noah Tancer 910th Airlift Wing Public Affairs YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- The 910th Airlift Wing (AW) hosted a veteran resource fair, inviting several veteran service providers to the Community Activity Center (CAC) on base, April 7. This event was exclusively focused on connecting the 910th AW’s service members to veteran service providers and informing them on available benefits. “This was our effort here at the airbase to make sure if Airmen needed VA services, were inquiring about VA services, needed to ask questions about their own claims or wanted to file claims, then we had a one stop shop, and it would be easy for them to do what they needed to do,” said Terri Ann Naughton, the director of psychological health with the 910th Airlift Wing. “I’m going to try to do this and other things like this a couple times a year.” The veteran programs that participated in the fair were the Transition and Care Management Team, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Veterans Benefits, Vet Center, Homeless Outreach, Community Resource & Referral Center, Suicide Prevention, Military Sexual Trauma Program, Women’s Health Program, Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission and Trumbull County Veterans Service Commission. All veteran programs had information tables set up in the CAC with the exception of the Vet Center Van which was parked in the CAC parking lot.
