The 910th Airlift Wing is limiting access to the installation to assigned personnel only, effective at 4 p.m. on March 17, 2020, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, in accordance with Department of Defense and Department of the Air Force guidance.

Col. Casey Dodds, commander of the 910th Airlift Wing, said the health and wellness of our Reserve Citizen Airmen are paramount during this ever-changing situation.

“We appreciate the flexibility of everyone involved as we work diligently to bring the YARS family through this time of national crisis as safely as possible,” said Dodds.

Retirees, veterans, dependents and other individuals not assigned or employed at the installation will not be permitted to enter YARS until further notice. This includes any individuals who may have access to the installation for the purpose of using recreational facilities including the Fitness Center, Outdoor Recreation and the YARS Fam Camp; the Community Activity Center and the C-130 Bar and Grille; the on-base branch of the Seven Seventeen Credit Union; the Eagle’s Nest Lodge; the Base Exchange, the YARS USO Lounge and the Retiree Activities Office.

No space available services (ie: lodging, Fam Camp or military flights) are available until further notice.

Additionally, the Department of the Air Force is suspending all community engagement events until further notice. This includes, but is not limited to, on-base (base tours and on-base meetings), military and civilian sponsored air shows and community engagement events (speaking engagements, color guards, national anthem, equipment and locally-supported aircraft static displays and flyovers).

Individuals needing Department of Defense/Military Identification Card assistance must call 330-609-1095 to obtain more information about current customer service capabilities.

More information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
