910th Security Forces Squadron, members, named best of 2021 Published March 28, 2022 By Senior Airman Chris Corso 910th Airlift Wing Public Affairs YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- The annual Air Force Reserve Command Security Forces awards were announced Jan. 8, 2022, and the 910th Security Forces Squadron received several awards. The contributions of these award winners along with the efforts of the entire squadron also resulted in the 910th SFS being named the Outstanding Air Reserve Component Unit in the 2021 Air Force Security Forces Unit awards, March 21, 2022. Among thirteen possible award categories at the AFRC level, four were won by 910th SFS members. The award winners are: Master Sgt. John D. Hall – Colonel Billy Jack Carter Award Theodore A. Pifer – Outstanding Security Forces Support Staff Civilian Award Capt. Robert R. Reader – Outstanding Security Forces Company Grade Office Award Master Sgt. Chad D. Schlimm – Outstanding Security Forces Support Staff SNCO Award “These awards bring so much deserved credit to the individual award winners, their units, installations, the United States Air Force Reserve and United States Air Force,” said Brig Gen. William Kountz, Director of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. “ Sincere congratulations go to all of the nominees and award winners for their significant achievements.” The 910th SFS Commander echoed the general’s praises for his own Airmen. “For their careers, this is a huge milestone for them and their success,” said Maj. Nicholas Megyesi, Commander of the 910th SFS. “I’m just ecstatic that they were recognized for their hard work and their dedication to the security forces squadron and the wing and the Air Force as a whole. It’s truly a team effort and we’re just very blessed to have great folks in the squadron.”
