Air Force Reservists, assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing, based at nearby Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, participated in the 2024 Cleveland National Air Show, held at Burke Lakefront Airport, from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, 2024. The Mahoning Valley’s Citizen Airmen performed demonstration flights in one of the wing’s C-130H Hercules aircraft during each day of the air show. The 910th’s new C-130J-30 Super Hercules aircraft also made its public debut at the event, giving guests the opportunity to get an up-close look at the brand-new plane and talk with aircrew and maintenance personnel. The 910th welcomed the first of eight new C-130J-30 aircraft to YARS during an on-base arrival ceremony on July 16, 2024.
