To celebrate the home opener and the Scrappers’ military appreciation night, the base color guard presented the colors during the Anthem, and a 910th Airlift Wing C-130H Hercules aircraft performed a low-level flyover. Air Force recruiters from YARS set up a display table on the concourse and made their presence known by parading Airman Andy, a large inflatable mascot, through the stands to greet fans. As fans entered the stadium, they were able to view a Humvee from the Marine Corps Reserve Landing Support Equipment Company, Youngstown.
