Chief Master Sgt. James Masotto, 76th Aerial Port Squadron Superintendent, nominated Landfair for the award and said the nomination represents his employer’s dedication as a whole to the continued support of military employees. The Patriot Award is a national award presented to the civilian employer of a Guardsman or reservist in the armed forces who shows consistent and outstanding support to their military employees. “We’ve probably got ten military people in our office, and she hired them knowing they’re in the military,” said Masotto. “They care about us. They call us, make sure we’re okay, ask us if we need anything, and most employers don’t do that. I hear all the horror stories about people’s employers who give them a hard time when they go away….we get zero backlash and nothing but support.” Members of the reserve component of the U.S. Armed Forces can nominate their supervisor for the Patriot Award by using the following link: https://esgr.mil/Service-Members-Family/Nominate-your-Employer
