910th families enjoy Halloween Party

Youngstown Air Reserve Station hosted a children’s Halloween party at the USO of Northern Ohio, Oct. 13, 2018. The event was planned by the Airman and Family Readiness to spread teamwork, camaraderie and good fun for 910th Airlift Wing Reserve Citizen Airmen and their families in a safe and friendly environment.

YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio --

Youngstown Air Reserve Station hosted a children’s Halloween party at the USO of Northern Ohio, Oct. 13, 2018. The event was planned by the Airman and Family Readiness to spread teamwork, camaraderie and good fun for 910th Airlift Wing Reserve Citizen Airmen and their families in a safe and friendly environment.

“None of this event could have happened from one office,” said Jim Naughton, the Airman and Family Readiness Director for YARS. “The excellent teamwork involved proved to be the factor in making it a huge success.”

The party consisted of various events like, face-painting, hayrides, trunk-or-treating, pumpkin bowling, a costume contest and, of course, a haunted house. The event brought out nearly 40 volunteers from various units and offices around YARS and more than 175 Airmen, friends and family attended the event.

“My kids always want to visit Youngstown Air Reserve Station, and events like these are a great way to mix work and fun for the entire family,” said Capt. Danielle Williams, the 910th Force Support Squadron’s sustainment and readiness flight commander.

Naughton said the Airman and Family Readiness Center is always looking to the future to provide fun, family events.
