YARS introduces 24-hour access to fitness Published Feb. 19, 2019 By Senior Airman Juliet Louden 910th Airlift Wing Public Affairs YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- Youngstown Air Reserve Station's fitness center introduced 24-hour access as of Feb. 7, 2019. 24-hour access is available to Common Access Card holding civilians assigned here and all military personnel across the Department of Defense, said Kevin Hyman, fitness center manager. Eligible patrons need to come to the fitness center between the hours of 5am to 5pm to sign up for access. Dependents are not eligible for 24-hour access to the fitness center. Not all areas of the fitness center are available after regular business hours. “Cautioning on the side of safety, the gym floor and saunas will be locked after regular business hours,” said Hyman. “If you are by yourself, it is highly encouraged to use the selectorized room (machine-weights) instead of the free-weight room.” The 24-hour access was created to be current with other Air Force bases.
