910 aircrew members prepare to load cargo in Tel Aviv
TEL AVIV, Israel -- Air Force Reserve Tech. Sgt. Mike Price, a flight engineer, and Tech. Sgt. Harry Hagarman, a crew chief, bothe assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, watch as a "K-loader" cargo handling vehicle approaches the rear cargo ramp of their C-130H Hercules tactical cargo transport aircraft as it sits on the tarmac of Ben Gurion International Airport here, October 25, 2009. Sergeants Price and Hagarman and six other 910th Citizen Airmen have just delivered 29 passengers and their baggage to Tel Aviv on an airlift mission from Naples Naval Air Station, Italy. The 910th Airmen are preparing to load four single pallets and a double pallet of cargo and deliver them to Ramstein Air Base, Germany. It took the 910th Airmen about one hour to take out the passenger seating and install the cargo pallet rollers as well as stow all of the extra cargo deck components. The Citizen Airmen completing this airlift mission are among more than 70 Servicemembers from YARS attached to the 38th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, based at Ramstein. The 38th EAS is supporting Operation Joint Enterprise by providing tactical airlift capability to locations in the U.S. Europe Command (EUROCOM), U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) theaters of operations.
