RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- The Air Force Reserve aircrew of a C-130H Hercules tactical cargo transport aircraft assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, look through the cockpit windows as they land their aircraft on the runway here, October 25, 2009. A total of nine Citizen Airmen, consisting of the aircraft commander, co-pilot, flight engineer, navigator, two loadmasters, two crew chiefs and a public affairs photojournalist, traveled aboard the C-130 to Naples, Italy to transport 29 personnel from the Naples Naval Air Station to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel. Once on the ground in Tel Aviv, the crew off loaded the passengers and baggage. Within one hour of landing, the crew then reconfigured the C-130 to handle four single pallets and one double pallet of cargo, weighing approximately 14,000 pounds. After the cargo was loaded, the C-130 took off and returned here to Ramstein. The crew completing this airlift mission are among more than 70 servicemembers from YARS attached to the 38th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, based here. The 38th EAS is supporting Operation Joint Enterprise by providing tactical airlift capability to locations in the U.S. Europe Command (EUROCOM), U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) theaters of operations.
